The NOWDiagnostics Syphilis Test matrix comparison study was completed October 11. This study evaluated three different sample matrices collected from the same donor: venous whole blood, plasma, and serum. Over 20 syphilis negative donors were enrolled in the study and the donors' samples were used to create negative and positive samples of each matrix and tested on the NOWDiagnostics Syphilis Test. Each sample gave matching results across all matrices, meaning that the syphilis tests can provide the same result regardless of the matrix used.
