Last week, I wrote a post about the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA). I failed to mention what is being done to reverse some rather alarming trends in declining investment in US startups from venture capitalists.
I highly recommend visiting their site to see an overview of their different stances on issues. They cover:
- Capital Formation and Regulation
- Patent Reform
- Basic Research and Technology Transfer
- Healthcare Innovation
- Accounting and Auditing Standards
It’s somehow comforting to learn more about a group that is finding common ground, regardless of political affiliation to move business investments forward. The statistics around immigrants who come to the US and start successful companies and create jobs is fascinating.
How Can You Get Involved?
The NVCA represents venture capital groups and businesses, but has a tremendous bank of resources for all types including webinars and a bank of legal document templates.
