NOWDiagnostics Inc. Moves Production from China to United States
Quality control and support of Arkansas companies are key for the company
SPRINGDALE, ARK. (Jan. 26, 2016) – NOWDiagnostics Inc., based in Springdale, Arkansas, has moved all of its plastic housing production for the company’s rapid blood tests from China to Arkansas, in a move to improve Quality Control and bring additional jobs to the state.
NOWDiagnostics manufactures and sells a line of unique blood-based rapid tests that allow health care providers to conduct simple-to-use, highly accurate tests for a variety of conditions and diseases. The company is now partnering with PolyTech Plastic Molding in Prairie Grove, Arkansas to create the housings for all of the tests.
“By moving all of our production to Arkansas, we have better control over the quality of our products, which is our chief concern,” said Kevin Clark, Chief Executive Officer of NOWDiagnostics. “Having a partner just down the road whom we can visit anytime we want or need to has significantly improved our process from a logistical standpoint.”
“We are proud to be an Arkansas company, so it was important for us to support manufacturing jobs here in our home state,” Clark said.
NOWDiagnostics’ tests allow for a one-step process that provides results in minutes using only a single drop of whole or capillary blood with no laboratory needed.
NOWDiagnostics is currently developing additional ADEXUSDx® tests in a variety of categories including food intolerance, common infectious diseases, STDs, cardiology, toxicology, and screening (from thyroid dysfunction to pregnancy).
The company’s Springdale, Arkansas facility was officially registered with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in December 2014. In addition to manufacturing and distributing the ADEXUSDx® hCG test in the United States, NOWDiagnostics also offers five additional tests for distribution in Europe.
